12 weeks and counting!

Well, we have made it to the 12 week mark and I am so glad! I thought I had it made.... for 8 weeks NO morning sickness... then week 9 came! I have been sick ever since! Just in the mornings after I have been up and moving around a little bit. My doctor did give me some medicine at my last appointment and that helps as long a s I remember to take it! :)

I am so ready to have more energy! When will it ever come? I feel like all I do is eat, work, and sleep!

We did get to hear the heartbeat at the last visit and it was 168! The nurse said that it sounded like a girl to her.. she was just kidding with me. But I have had several friends tell me that the heartbeat was correct for the sex of their child. I guess we will know for sure in November!

It's been awhile!

Sorry that I haven't written in a while but I have been exhausted! Since the last time I wrote so much has happened! I went to Orlando with my family, found out I was pregnant, and started school again! Between being tired from teaching all day and being pregnant I pretty much hit the couch when I come home!

Vacation to Destin with Amy

My best friend Amy and I decided we wanted to go somewhere together this year for a girl's vacation! We chose Destin, FL as our destination. We both love the beach, but neither one of us wanted to go to Gulf Shores. That's where we have always gone and we wanted something different. We got a great deal on a condo and that helped with our decision!

We loaded down Amy's car with so much stuff, you would have thought there was 5 other people with us! The reason we took so much is this....... We planned our menu for everyday, so we had to take groceries, we also wanted to scrapbook at night, which means bringing a lot of stuff!

We found our accommodations to be wonderful... just like the pictures we saw! We spent our days laying out at the beach and the afternoons by the pool. At night we would cook dinner and scrapbook! We found this great Scrapbooking store where everything was 50% off! Needless to say we visited it 3 times! We had a great time together talking, laughing, and scrapbooking!

Vacation to Gulf Shores

This is the first year that I have gotten to attend my husband's annual beach conference with the DA's office. I was a little worried about what I was going to do during the day while he was in meetings, but thankfully the weather was great so I hit the pool. Our resort had a wonderful pool area with several levels, tons of lounge chairs, and live music. It was so relaxing! I also got to know some of the other wives that were there with their husband's and we had a great time. We got to experience some new restaurant's, great shopping, and good company!

The Power of Prayer

At church, I have a great group of friends that I love dearly! We get together to celebrate our birthdays, baby showers, and they even gave me a divorce party when all was said and done! We love to be together and we really love any reason to have a party.

Not only do we have a lot of fun, but we also have a great bond. Our bond is that we are all m Christian women that love the Lord. We have started having a prayer night once a week to pray for some of our girls who are going through a really difficult time. We open up and share what is going on in our lives and ask for the prayers of each other. We each say a prayer on behalf of the person who has made a request before we leave. This has been such a blessing for all of us.

Happy Anniversary

Today, John and I are celebrating two wonderful years of marriage! It is hard to believe that two years has already gone by. This has been a wonderful year for us, mainly because it was not as crazy as the first year! We didn't sell any houses or build any this year! Yeah!

For those of you who know me, know that I had several rough years with my first husband and went through a terrible divorce. It is so strange how God is watching over us and knows just what we need. After going through my divorce, I was so sad to be all alone. What a lonely feeling looking at what once was a loving home with wonderful memories sitting around to empty shelves. I wondered if I would ever find someone to love again. I wondered if someone would ever love me. The kind of guy I knew I wanted seemed like a fairy tale at this point with our society.
I have to thank my dear friend Shannon for putting a bug in my ear about John. Once we met we hit it off immediately and it was so comfortable and easy. We knew pretty soon that this was meant to be, and here we are celebrating 2 years of marriage! So Happy Anniversary John! God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you!

First Blog Ever!

Well, it has happened... I have joined the blogging world! I am doing this on my own for now.. so far so good! More later once I get the hang of it!
